14 feet tall and weighing approximately 12,500 pounds, manufactured by Titan Tire for a Canadian Mining Operation. Bridgestone also makes a 63” tire that is approx the same height which is designed for the Caterpillar 797 dump truck.
World’s Longest Burning Tire Fire
The world’s longest burning tire fire that we know of was burning for 11 years. It was started when a bolt of lightning struck a transformer in Socorro, New Mexico. The fire was buried by the EPA shortly after it started, however the tires continued to burn under the ground for more than 10 years until the fire was re-buried in 2011. Check out the video below.

The most expensive tire that you’ll ever see is likely the 63″ Caterpillar 797 tire mentioned previously. Just one of these tires will cost you $42,500! What’s the most expensive tire for a road car? That would be the Bugatti Veyron Michelin PAX tires, seen below, costing $9,065 each.

World’s Largest Non-Functional Tire
The tire that is pictured below was originaly built for the 1964/65 World’s Fair in New York City. You can see it being operated as a ferris wheel on the right side of the photo. The tire now sits along I-94 in Allen Park, Michigan near a Uniroyal tire sales office.
